Toyota Corolla 50th Anniversary: Miles of Milestones

Corolla’s reliability has been turning miles into milestones for 50 years, so to celebrate our big milestone; we want to share the fun, unexpected and authentic stories that our celebrity partners have experienced through time with the Corolla. In order to showcase the wildly fun, surprisingly meaningful or even just downright silly moments people can experience with their car, we want to tell our celebrity’s real-life Corolla stories in a bigger-than-life kind of way.

    The results were 600M+ impressions, 5.5M+ video views, and 259K engagements through a paid partnership with BuzzFeed and creatively leading and executing a 360 integrated campaign.

    Through this campaign we:

    • We partnered with BuzzFeed to create engaging and humorous video content with celebrity partners Hannah Simone from New Girl and Gina Rodriguez from Jane the Virgin (videos available to view below)
    • Created a microsite with meme content and invited consumers to “share their #Corolla50 story” and drive to our online Meme generator
    • Developed the concept, copy and visuals for the memes (meme’s posted below)
    • Continue to drive consumer engagement with Meme generator giving fans the opportunity to share their historical moment in time with a Corolla and share on social media
    • Create a story on social media for the brand
